Usha Narayan was trained in both the Pandanallur and Tanjore styles of Bharatanatyam
by great mastros such as late Guru Sri. Kittappa Pillai and Kalakshetra Guru late
Sri. Chokkalingam Pillai and later by his leading disciple late Guru Sri. Nana Kasar.
She has been also trained by ancient 'Veterans of Abhinaya' in
their detailed abhinaya technique of Bharatanatyam such as late Guru Natya
Kalanidhi Swarna Saraswathi and Padma Bhushan Smt.Kalanidhi Narayanan.
The result was excellence in Usha Narayan's abhinaya , which she
later enriched by the unique abhinaya technique of Arayar's of Sri Rangam and their Arayar Sevai.
