Sringa Nrityam is the 8th Classical
Dance form of India, established by the pioneering efforts of Deivika Natyamani Usha Narayan.
Brilliant opportunity to learn Sringa
Nrittyam and perform, at the inaugural show of the release of the books that explore the devotion and
depth of the dance form.
The Forth coming book Titles:
1. Origins of Indian Classical dances forms
2. Bharatanatyam, Sadir attam & Arrayar Sevai
3. Sringa Nrittyam & Arrayar Sevai
4. Sringa Nrittyam and Bharatanatyam. (Emphasis Technical Aspect)
Proceeds from the books go to institute a scholarship and
a fellowship for the Arrayar’s family to learn from each other’s family. This we hope will strengthen the
practice of this Ancient Arrayar Sevai tradition at the temple and give due dignity to the Arrayars, their age old beliefs
and practices steeped in tradition. Also you will help build interest in their off-springs to dedicate their lives for
this dance form.
You are making a difference in preserving an ancient dance tradition at our temples. So that, one
can see this dance form in it’s “ancient splendor” when visiting India, while you learn its nuances and
enjoy its flavor by dancing Sringa Nrittyam.

Auditions at various locations in the Bay area
During these auditions you will learn some steps from Sringa Nrittyam, and perform these steps as
a group experience. On the other hand, it gives us an opportunity to gauge your entry level and accordingly place you for
performing different items.
